Do I need to have kayaking/canoeing experience?
No previous experience is needed to participate in this self-guided tour, though if you do have kayaking or canoeing experience, this is a great option for you. This tour is ideal for everyone, including families, single travelers, and others.
How will I know where to go? Will I get lost?
We provide each passenger with a map with suggested routes prior to departure, so you should be set to have a great adventure. In case of emergency, we will provide an emergency card with our contact information so that you can get in touch with us.
Is 2-3 hours enough, or should I spend a whole day on it?
This is entirely up to you! A entire day can be daunting for those without experience, which is why we offer the shorter rental periods. In order to do the entire circuit that we recommend, you would need approximately 6 hours, depending on your fitness level.
How should I dress for a kayak or canoe trip?
Most of our guests simply hop in the kayaks and canoes in their “normal” clothes and they are off! We recommend dressing for the weather, but keep in mind that the water is very cold year-round.
Are children allowed?
Yes! Children ages 5 and up are allowed on the canoes and double kayaks, but they must be able to wear a life vest. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult. Only adults (18+) are allowed on the single kayaks.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Guests will be issued a full refund if the tours are cancelled within 24 hours of the departure time. Anytime after that, no refund will be issued.
If you are late for your reservation time or do not budget enough time to complete the registration process, we will make every attempt to extend your booking.
In the event that we cannot accommodate you (i.e., other clients are booked in the time slot immediately following), your reservation will be canceled and no refund will be issued.
