Cree Nation of Wemindji
The organization aptly titled the Cree Nation of Wemindji has collected and condensed a great amount of information about our home where it can be reviewed in one place. We’re happy to partner with them as part of a unified community.
The Tawich Development Corporation is responsible for much of the development within Wemindji and the surrounding area. Since the Cree Nation in Wemindji is a giant in economic and community development, we are proud to call ourselves a partner of theirs.
Though we are a bit biased by being located in their facilities, we are happy to partner with the Maquatua Inn Hotel & Restaurant. They have clean and comfortable hotel rooms to accommodate you throughout your stay in Wemindji, and their restaurant has plenty of comfort food on the menu to keep you warm in Northern Quebec!
Another locally owned business, the Sibi Gas Station provides all convenience store-related needs — they even have some hunting gear and hardware products! This is one of the many Cree-owned businesses within the Wemindji community, and we are proud to partner with them. Head over to visit them when you make your trip up to Wemindji with us.
This regional airline based in Waskaganish, Quebec is Cree-owned and provides service to a total of 16 destinations in Quebec and Ontario, including Wemindji. As one of our partners, they help us to shuttle guests to Wemindji so that they can discover the stunning wilderness of Northern Quebec and the rich Cree culture that resides here.
As a fellow Québécois tourism company, we have a lot in common with the folks at Voyages Eeyou Istchee Baie-James Travel. Here, you can see what other activities northern Quebec offers to its visitors, and their site is overflowing with information about beautiful Canada.
